Financial Security

Everyone booking a Lodge Coach Holiday is fully protected for the deposit and final balance paid to us in the unlikely event of the insolvency of Lodge Coaches. We are fully bonded with igi Insurance Company Ltd. This insurance has been arranged by Towergate Chapman Stevens for the repatriation of any monies, so all money paid to us is safe and secure.

Modern Air-Conditioned Coaches

All our British and European coach holidays use superb fully air conditioned touring coaches, 2 new Setra coaches have been added to the fleet for your comfort, all coaches are fitted with reclining seats, adjustable arm and footrests, double-glazing and air suspension. On all our touring coaches we have onboard toilet/washroom, fridge and drinks facilities. Smoking is not permitted on the coaches but we make regular comfort stops. All vehicles comply with the latest regulations concerning safety and accident protection and are all maintained to the highest standard possible.

Carefully Selected Hotels

We choose our hotels to offer levels of value, quality, comfort and service, which our customers have become accustomed. Usually these are 3, 4 or 5 star standard ratings. We always try to ensure that our hotels consistently maintain high standards of accommodation, meals, service and personal attention that we expect of them. On all European Tours please note that hotels serve the traditional and locals specialities of the area. There may not be a choice of menu but a vegetarian meals is always included. Also some hotels may wish you to choose the menu the evening before or morning of the actual day.

We know that your holiday is very important to you and we want to make sure that it is really just what you are looking for so we always have time for you. A formula that has led to many satisfied customers travelling with us year after year.

Baggage

Would you please note that due to space limitation on board the tour coach and because of Health and Safety issues relating to our employees, you are asked to keep luggage to one medium sized suitcase 20” x 28” and weighing no more the 18 kilos per person together with hand luggage which can be stowed safely under your seat on the coach. The only exception is when travelling on Continental holidays when we suggest the use of an overnight bag.

Note

You will appreciate that all our holidays are booked with hotels and venues over a year in advance. We apologise that on a very rare occasion a circumstance may occur which is beyond our control, even though we have what we thought to be a very watertight contract. It may be the case that others have reneged in their contracts to us. We will endeavour to put right immediately but on certain very rare occasions it is not possible to correct at the time.

About us

Lodge Coaches was founded 92 years ago by the grandfather of the present partners, Andrew, Robert and Christopher, who play an active part in running the business so it is very much a family concern. We aim to give a good reliable caring service as do our tour drivers who are all selected for their politeness and touring knowledge. The holiday programme is an important part of the business and is an area in which we have 24 years of experience. Travel

Close to home pick up. No overnight land travel. All coach excursions included. Entrance fees to place of interest featured.

Luggage

Handling service at main hotel, WC/Washroom on board coach. Hot and cold drinks available on board coach. Minimum 3-star national hotel rating.
