Mid Wales is stepped in heritage and culture cliff-top castles and isolated mountain fortresses. This tour combines the Snowdonia National Park, with Railways and Castles and gardens.
If you enjoy breathtaking scenery and the great outdoors this Mid Wales tour is a must.
Day 1 We leave Chelmsford at 7.00am depending on your local pick up point and travel towards Wales with suitable stops on the way for lunch and drinks to arrive in Llangollen and our hotel with time to settle in and maybe browse round the town.
Day 2 We take a boat cruise on the Llangollen Canal, which flows, through the hotel grounds and then cruise over the famous Pontcysylite Aqueduct. The coach will meet us and we drive through the beautiful Welsh scenery to arrive at Powis Castle with such lovely gardens. Time to wander through the 18th century terraces lined with yew trees and long borders alongside the Orangery and set against the spectacular backdrop of a red sandstone medieval Castle, which is perched on a rock above the garden terraces. The castle contains one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales.
Day 3 Full day we make our way to Porthmadog have free time here before we take the famous Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway viewing parts of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park on the way. The coach will meet us at the end of the line and we then travel over the Horseshoe Pass to return to the hotel.
Day 4 Today we visit Betws-Y-Coed this lovely Welsh village, time look round all the local craft shops before we visit Snowdonia National Park travelling via Llanberis Pass, Caernarfon and Beddgellert.
Day 5 We depart for home stopping in Telford for a short time, maybe coffee or lunch and then proceed homewards arriving in Chelmsford approx 7.00pm.

There is a bar and lounge for your convenience to sit and relax in the evening.
